INTRODUCTION.

Kech has always been a significant place of love and hospitability.
Kech is the Geographically, Socially and politically a central region of Mekran Region.
Way back to 325 BC Alexander the great passed through Mekran; then known as Gidroshia.
After division of Indian Subcontinent, Mekran joined the Balochistan States Union in early 1949 along with Kalat, Lasbela and Kharan.
In October 1955, Mekran was given the status of a District.
In first July 1977, Kech was given the status of District (Sub-Division of Mekran).
